“The Nun II” carries on the disappointment from its predecessor, unable to recapture the terror of Valak. The film’s overexposure to Valak eliminates suspense, resorting to clichéd horror tropes and lacking originality. Although Taissa Farmiga’s portrayal of Sister Irene brings depth, the weak script limits her impact. Jonas Bloquet’s character introduces emotion and stakes, but his arc feels uninspired.
